Hey Oark Hornet Family!! We wanted to thank you all for coming and supporting our 1st Annual Title 1 Meeting/ Family Guided Painting Night! I think everyone had a blast and Mrs. Mackie did an amazing job teaching us all how to paint!! JSD Closed Monday for Labor Day The Jasper School District will not be in session on Monday, Sept. 2, 2024, in observance of Labor Day! JSD will resume its regular schedule on Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2024.

Moonhull route will run normally tomorrow! :) Thank you for being patient with us!

The JSD School Board will hold a special board meeting on Thursday, August 29, 2024, starting at 5:00 pm on the Jasper Campus.

🚌 Important Message 🚌 Due to a driver shortage, The Moonhull route will not run this morning. Families that cannot get their students to the school, please call the school in the morning so we can make plans to pick them up after the routes are finished. These students won't be counted tardy.

Oark family grandparents are invited to eat lunch with us on Sept. 9th for Grandparents Day! Please RSVP by this Friday. Lunch is $4 for anyone who is not a student. Prek-3rd lunch is 10:54-11:30. 4-6th is 11:10-11:30. 7-12th is 12:09-12:39. See you there! Make sure to RSVP by this Friday! 💜

Meet Ms. Kayla!! 🐝 She’s not new to our family, but her role is changing! She’s a full time bus driver and the lead teacher in the ABC Preschool on campus! 💜 Ms. Kayla is an Oark graduate and loves how close knit everyone is here! We asked what her inspired her to be a teacher and she said, “Ever since I was a little girl, I have wanted to help and improve the lives of others.” 💛 We are so thankful Ms. Kayla is a part of our #OarkHornetFamily 🐝🐝🐝

Meet Mrs. Deborah!! 🐝 She is an Oark graduate and she is excited to be back home this year as a paraprofessional! 💜 She loves working in schools because she has a desire to make a difference in children’s lives! She loves Oark because everyone is so welcoming and friendly.💛 We are thankful she’s back home and can’t wait to see all the great things she does this year with our #OarkHornetFamily!! 🐝💜

Meet our new school resource officer, Officer Alexis Wingard! 💜 We are very excited to have her join our #OarkHornetFamily and to have her here for the school and our community! Come meet her tomorrow at the Oark Mountain View Bistro at 6:30pm for a meet & greet! 😁 The new sheriff will be there as well! We invite all parents, students, staff, and community members to come out and say hello! She’s excited to meet you all tomorrow! 🐝💜

Meet Mrs. Tenessa French!!! 🥳 Mrs. French subbed at the school last year and is taking on a new role in our #OarkHornetFamily as a teacher’s assistant in the Oark ABC program! She is excited for this new position and she looks forward to meeting everyone and watching her students grow and learn! 💜 She said she loves Oark because, “everyone is so welcoming and treats everyone like family!” We are very thankful to have her in our family and can’t wait for an amazing year!!!!! 💜🐝
