The Jasper School District will not be in session on Monday, September 4, 2023, in observance of Labor Day. The Jasper School District will resume regular sessions on Tuesday, September 5, 2023. Have a safe and wonderful Labor Day.
The Jasper School District will be accepting SEALED BIDS ONLY for the 2023-2024 school year for the following items: Propane, Gas, and Diesel. Bids may be submitted to the Superintendent’s Office at PO Box 446; Jasper, AR 72641 until 3:00 p.m., September 11th, 2023. Jasper School District reserves the right to refuse any and all bids.

Family & Community Engagement Hornet Spotlight:
Meet our new K-12 Music Teacher, Ms. Rund! 🎶
Ms. Rund is a graduate from Frostburg State University in Frostburg, MD. She loves music and is excited to share that with her students! 💜
When asked what inspired her to be a teacher, she said, “It has to be my teachers growing up; they were who asked me questions, encouraged my curiosity, quenched my thirst for knowledge, and who inspired me to be a better human every day. I also have incredible parents, my very first teachers, who constantly challenged me to be better than the day before, taught me to never be satisfied with mediocrity, and encouraged me to pursue any and everything that piqued my interest.”
We asked Ms. Rund what her favorite subject was when she was in school and she said:
“I know I am supposed to say music or band, but those were never “subjects” for me; they were like coming home and the comfort places in my day. My favorite subject other than those had to be english. This is where I was challenged the most, where my creativity flourished, and where I could most easily connect my passion for music to daily tasks.”
Her interests include Music Psychology, Neurobiology, and Music History. She has two sassy, cuddly, rambunctious kitties named Oscar and Milo.
She is eager to meet all of our students and their families at Open House on August 11th and is super excited to be a member of our #OarkHornetFamily 🐝💜
