FFA at Fair
Our Oark FFA group left the Hornets nest last week to go represent our school competing at the Johnson County Fair. They did an amazing job showing the county what being an Oark Hornet is all about! 

     Oark FFA received Grand Champion both with their Single Fryer and Meat Pen rabbits. They auctioned the meat pen in the Premium Auction.  

     There were 2 blue and 2 red ribbons received during the rabbit breed show. 
Bricel H. won the senior rabbit showmanship buckle and Leanda W. came in as reserve champion senior rabbit showman. 13 students competed in rabbit showmanship!


Madelyn T. won Grand Champion 4-H Pullet Chain and qualified for the Premium Auction.  Oark FFA won 4 blue ribbons in the poultry show. 

Dolly, the lamb, was shown by Mariana N. She received two 4th-place ribbons and a 5th-place ribbon. 
Leanda W. showed Gerbil, the goat,  and received 1st, 3rd and 4th place ribbons. 
Dot, the goat,  was shown by Clayton T. She received a 4th & a 5th place ribbon. 
12 students participated in the Livestock Skill-a-thon. Briana B. placed 3rd, Jack S. placed 2nd and Clayton T. placed first.
