Jasper School-Based Health Center Information
Jasper School District’s School-Based Health Center (SBHC) is conveniently located at 609 West Clark Street on the Jasper Campus, serving as a vital resource for the health and wellness of our school community. The SBHC is open to all students, faculty, staff, and members of the broader community, providing comprehensive medical care in a familiar, accessible environment.
One of our top priorities is supporting the physical and emotional well-being of our students. To that end, the SBHC offers school-based mental health services, ensuring that students have timely access to counseling and support as they navigate life challenges.
We are proud to offer high-quality, convenient healthcare services right on campus. Our goal is to help students stay healthy and engaged in their learning. By addressing health concerns early—without the need to leave school—we hope to reduce absences, prevent minor issues from becoming major ones, and promote a culture of wellness.
In partnership with families, we are also dedicated to providing preventative care in line with the guidelines of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Whether it’s a routine check-up, vaccinations, or a mental health screening, we are here to support every child’s growth and development.
Together with parents, guardians, and our community partners, we here at JSD strive to build a healthier, stronger school community—because when students feel their best, they learn at their best.
SBHC Medical Hours:
Monday - Thursday 7:45 a.m. - 5:15 p.m.
Friday 7:45 a.m. - 11:45 a.m.
We’re proud to offer a School-Based Health Center (SBHC) right here in the Jasper School District—made possible through a special grant from the Arkansas Department of Education’s Office of Coordinated School Health. This opportunity was funded by the Arkansas Tobacco Excise Tax (Arkansas Act 180 of 2009) and reflects our community’s commitment to the health and well-being of our students.
The SBHC is staffed by the trusted professionals at Boston Mountain Rural Health Centers (BMRHC), who provide a full range of medical and dental services for students and families—regardless of insurance status or ability to pay. To schedule a medical appointment, please call 870-446-2225 and follow the prompts. You’ll find all necessary enrollment and consent forms linked below to get started.
To receive care at the clinic, students must be enrolled in the SBHC by completing the required forms. We encourage all families to enroll their child—even if they don’t need services right away—so care is available when it’s needed most.
Boston Mountain’s team of compassionate healthcare providers is here to serve everyone in our community, offering a sliding fee scale for those who qualify, as well as prescription assistance programs to help families access affordable medications. If you have questions about coverage or eligibility, the clinic staff will be happy to assist you.
In addition to physical health services, we are also proud to offer school-based mental health care for Jasper students. Parents or guardians may request referrals at any point during the school year. If you believe your child could benefit from talking with a licensed mental health professional, please reach out to your child’s school counselor or contact Cristan Martin, SBHC Coordinator, at 870-446-9305.
We’re here to support your child’s health—body and mind—so they can thrive in and out of the classroom. With care available right at school, staying healthy has never been more convenient.
