APPLICATION FOR TRANSFER TO A NON-RESIDENT DISTRICT
All transfer applications must be received in the Jasper School Superintendent's office by May 1st.
Parents must submit school choice applications to the nonresident district.
The nonresident district shall notify the resident district of the filing of the application.
“Resident District” means the school district in which the student resides as determined by § 6-18-202.
“Nonresident District” means a school district other than a student’s resident district.

The Arkansas Public School Choice Act of 2015, students in kindergarten through 12th grade may apply to attend a school in a nonresident district. This means your child can become a part of the Jasper School District family — even if they live outside our attendance zone.

Applications are accepted annually from January 1 through May 1.

Public School Choice Act of 2015
The Public School Choice Act of 2015 Ark. Code Ann. § 6-18-1903 A public school choice program is established to enable a student in kindergarten through grade twelve (12) to attend a school in a nonresident district, subject to the limitations under Ark. Code Ann. § 6-18-1906 and the Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) Rules Governing The Public School Choice Act of 2015.
