Junior high district basketball tournament will be held in Mt. Judea (February 5-10, 2024) and Senior high district tournament will be held in Jasper (February 12-17, 2024) this year. Brackets coming soon!!

On the calendar sent home in August it was originally set to be a professional development day; however, with the recent days missed due to weather, it will be a regular school day to make up one of those days. The Jasper Pirates will be in Kingston Friday, January 26, 2024! All 4 teams are playing with tip off at 4:30pm. FREE CONCESSIONS again thanks to Elkhorn Church!!!! This will also be our senior night and Madison County Sports Hall of Fame will recognize our 2008 girls state championship team along with Cliff Fancher, former Yellowjacket! It will be a packed house with some great basketball both past and present!! #YJP
There will be archery practice Wednesday 1-24-24 beginning at 5pm.
The games at Oark tonight (1/23/24) have been cancelled due to slick roads down there. There are no plans to reschedule at this time.

The Yellowjackets will host the Lead Hill Tigers tonight with tip off at 4:30pm. Bundle up and come out for some great games, we will keep the coffee pot hot!
The games for Monday, January 22, 2024 against Flippin have been cancelled. As of right now...there are no plans to reschedule.

Good morning. This is Margie Rutledge with the Jasper SD. JSD will have a 10::00 delayed start this morning on all campuses. Bus routes will run 2 hours after normal time. We will be monitoring the inclement weather to our west and make any other adjustments as needed throughout the day to keep students safe.

With the weather being so tricky to forecast, please know that roads will be monitored for the safety of our students and staff. Should the decision be made to cancel school at any time, there will be a phone call, text, email sent out as well as a Facebook post here. The number that sends out the call is a Little Rock number, not the actual school number. We wanted to remind everyone of this so you do not miss any important information. Stay safe and warm!!
The JSD Board of Directors will be holding the January board meeting on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 Instead of starting at 6:30, this meeting will begin at 5:30 pm.

We are monitoring the weather and roads, as of right now, we are running a normal school day schedule. The safety of our students, families and staff is our greatest concern and we will be sure to let everyone know if any changes occur. We hope everyone enjoys the beautiful snowfall!
