Help with Homework

  • Helping Your Student Get the Most Out of Homework--This article from the National Parent Teachers Association points to research that indicates that children who spend more time on regularly assigned, meaningful homework, do better in school, and that the academic benefits of homework increase as children move into the upper grades.

  • Helping Your Child become a Reader--As a parent, you can help your child want to learn in a way no one else can. That desire to learn is a key to your child's later success. This resource from the Florida Department of Education lists numerous activities that will help your child enjoy reading.

  • Reading is Fundamental--Whether you're a parent, guardian, grandparent, or an older sibling, you can help a child learn to love reading! RIF is the nation's largest nonprofit children's literacy organization.
