Kingston Messenger for the week of March 13-17

Austin Shockley placed 7th out of 253 livestock judgers at the livestock competition.  Our Floriculture team placed 12 out of 24 teams at the Wild Hog CDE.  This was their first time to compete as a team.

The Elkhorn Church is having a clothing drive from March 4th-25th.  They are collecting gently used kids' spring/summer clothing.  There will be drop boxes at Weaver's Gas and Grill, The Community Library, The Place on the Square, and at the School.  Any donations would be greatly appreciated.  The "Flip Flop Summer Clothing Giveaway" will be April 22nd above the Fire Station.  

On Monday,  Mrs. Meyers will take 11 students to Harrison Fair Grounds for CDE Competition. They will leave and return during school hours.

Monday will be elementary spring pictures and class pictures beginning at 8 a.m.

Girl Scouts after school on Thursday  in the art room at 3:30 p.m.

Thursday will be the FFA District CTE at Russellville. Members  will leave at 7:00 am. and will return back to school by 3:00 pm.

Report cards will be sent home Friday.  

Popcorn Friday:  1 dollar a bag

Spring Break is March 20-24 and school will not be in session.

Daylight savings time begins at 2 a.m. on March 12.  Clocks spring ahead one hour.

Grades 3-6 will be taking the 3rd interim test on March 27-28. Grades 7-10 will be testing throughout the day on the 27-31. Please be sure your students come to school on those days.  

Auditions for “Kingston’s Got Talent 2017”, our school talent show, will be held the week of April 3-7 in the Music Room. Sign-up sheets will be posted Monday, March 13th outside the Music Room. Auditions are open to all Elementary and High School students. See Mr. Trickey for more details.

Baseball/Softball games:

Monday:  BB/SB at Lead Hill at 4 p.m.  

Tuesday:  BB/SB vs Bruno Pyatt at  Jasper at 4 p.m.

Friday:  BB at Alpena at 4:15 p.m.

PeeWee Games:

Monday: @ home vs Alpena at 5:30.  All players will go home as usual.

Tuesday: @ Jasper at 5:30.  The bus will leave at 4:00.  

Thursday: @ St. Paul at 5 p.m. The bus will leave at 3:45.  

Friday: @ Mt. Judea at 5:30.  The bus will leave at 4:00.  

When elementary players are dismissed from class for the away games, the players will go to the cafeteria to wait for the bus to leave.
